Hastings County Historical Society Presents John Boyko

The Hastings County Historical Society presents the return of dynamic teacher, speaker and historical author, John Boyko examining "Sir John A Macdonald - Hero or Villain" based on Boyko's most recent book, Sir John's Echo. 

 

This free public presentation takes place Tuesday, February 20th at 7:30pm at Maranatha, 100 College St. West in Belleville with ample parking and level access at the rear of the building.  Bring a friend and enjoy refreshments, conversation and displays following the presentation.

Teens 12+ are encouraged to drop into the QSWC Gym for Youth Open Gym ON Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m. 

 

Basketball, soccer and floorball equipment will be available for you and your friends to use for $3 per visit.

Traditional Irish Music Session

The Quinte Irish Canadian Society hosts a traditional Irish music session every Wednesday at the Engineer's Hall 43 Pine Street, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. All levels of musicians and instruments are welcome. You do not have to be able to read music to be able to join in.

Hockey Night in Quinte

Hockey Night in Quinte presented by the Rotary Club of Belleville Satellite Group is Friday February 23rd at 7pm. Join in for a night of fun, music-DJ and Far Side Band, hockey inspired games, live and silent auctions at the Belleville Armouries.

 

All proceeds to Playing for Keeps in support of children in sports.

 

Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at Belleville Chamber of Commerce or Re-Max Quinte in Belleville.

Trenton Golden Hawks Pink in the Rink

The Canadian Cancer Society in partnership with the Trenton Golden Hawks will be hosting Pink in the Rink February 23rd, 2018, when they'll be facing the Wellington Dukes.



The team will be wearing pink jerseys in support of the Canadian Cancer Society and women's cancer research.

 

The game-worn jerseys will be signed and auctioned off after the game, and much more fun. Don't forget to wear pink to the game!

The Coldest Night of the Year Walk

Nightlight Canada is encouraging Quinte residents to bundle up and raise cold, hard cash for The Coldest Night of the Year Walk on Saturday, February 24th with registration at 4pm and the walk begins at 5:15pm. A family-friendly winter fundraising event for Belleville's homeless, hungry and hurting. The WALK begins and ends at Victoria Avenue Baptist Church, at 34 Victoria Avenue where walkers will register, turn in the results of their fundraising efforts, and return at the end of the evening for a warm celebration meal. Donning iconic blue toques, participants will walk a 2km, 5km or 10km route, and will warm up with toasty drinks at a rest stop along the way.

Night Kitchen Too

The city’s innovative musical showcase, Night Kitchen Too, celebrates its 5th year in The Friendly City at the Pinnacle Playhouse.

 

The new year opens with a cross-section of local and not so local musicians and spoken word artists presenting their collective talents on the acoustic stage. If you’ve never attended a show, connect with a “regular” and get in free as their guest.

 

$10 tickets are available from Pinnacle and Arden Music Stores, The Brake Room and Plug ’n Playland on Bridge Street.
