Traditional Irish Music Session

The Quinte Irish Canadian Society hosts a traditional Irish music session every Wednesday at the Engineer's hall 43 Pine Street, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. All levels of musicians and instruments are welcome. You do not have to be able to read music to be able to join in.

The Information Services Department of Belleville Public Library is pleased to offer free computer workshops for Adults. Pre-registration is required for all classes and enrollment is limited. The Parrott Gallery presents the Musical Gifts series on the 2nd Friday of the month, from 10:30am to 11:30am with pianist Rick Penner who will entertain you with music and songs, and fascinating anecdotes about the musicians/composers and their music. This program is held in Gallery One on the third floor of the Belleville Public Library.

Free Public Skating

The City of Quinte West offers free public skating at the Duncan Memorial Community Gardens on Saturday’s from 7:30pm to 8:30pm.  Families will be encouraged to bring along a non-perishable item for the local food bank.  For more information about public skating or other events taking place in Quinte West, visit www.quintewest.ca.

The 5th Annual Kanter for Kids

The 5th Annual Kanter for Kids is Sunday, October 15th at 8:30am at the Batawa Ski Hill for the Childrens Foundation.  Registration begins at 8:30am the ride begins at 9:30am (2 hour ride depending if you gallop or kanter or walk).  Registration is $25 to ride & free registration if you have pledges over $50. 

 

October is child abuse prevention month. One of the most visible pieces to represent this campaign is the purple ribbon. Purple is the signature colour of child abuse prevention. We are asking all of our riders and horses to wear purple (we have purple purple ribbons for horses).
